Gymnastics

Kinley has gone to 2 weeks of gymnastics now. The first week was a little rough. She cried and didn't want to warm-up last week, but this week she was great. Its still hard for her to have to wait for the other kids to do everything, and she doesn't like playing then sitting down for instructions, but she's getting there. These pictures are from last week. We, the parents, have to help a lot during the class, so I could only get pictures at the end of class in the foam pit.

Kinley loved jumping into the foam pit. She actually got really brave and jumped off the highest level of those boxes! I was pretty impressed. She was the only little kid to do it; although this week she wouldn't go from the highest level.

This is right before she had to get out. She tried to stay in and just laid back on all the foam, and I had to drag her out by her feet.

WOW

There was a little meet at K-State tonight. Tom, once again, threw the shot put. I was filming up in the stands, but couldn't hear any of the marks. What I did notice was that most of the throws were over 16 meters, and one was well over that line. As most of you know, Tom isn't very demonstrative with his emotions, so I was oblivious to him throwing a new PR! I found out later her threw 16.83 - Wow! Kinley and I are so proud of him! Just thought y'all might want to know.

Quick Trip

Last week Kinley and I went down to Texas to be with my family after getting a call that my step-dad was having chest pains. Luckily everything seems to be fine, but it was good to go down and help out. Kinley had a great time seeing her cousins and of course Papaw and Lolo.
For some reason she talks about them the most. I think it must be they are the craziest.

Kinley had some great play time with Papaw! After only a couple tries, she was all over the climbing wall and sliding!

Unfortunately, I missed filming her walk right into the railing and fall back on her booty. She also came down the slide and bit it face first. She had her mouth open and came up with leaves stuck to her face and in her mouth. I probably shouldn't have laughed, but it was too funny and she was ok.

Ryan got a great shopping cart for Christmas that Kinley really liked playing with. She piled lots of groceries and of course, a baby. She even picked up some chocolate like all ladies should.

Kinley grabbed this little hat that was laying around and put it on. This is one of her mischievous looks. I love that the hat matches the color of her eyes!

This is her smiling for me. If I ask her to smile - this is what I get. I admit it is cute, but not like her natural smile that lites up her little face.

Big Helper

Kinley has wanted to "help" us with everything we do lately. She always is in-between me and the counter while I'm cooking. She assists Tom while he ices. She loves to flush the toilet, and she actually walked through Tom's legs to help while he was peeing today. This definitely crosses the line from help to hindrance.

Grandma got her this great little vacuum for Christmas. Every time we pull out the big vacuum, she pulls her out and works right along side us.
